Dave: Dave received several promotions at work last year. He loves his job which makes all of us very happy. He's been successfully pursuing additional education for work and has practically perfected the art of playing chase, bathing two kids at once, and sweeping me off my feet (not necessarily all at once).
Brandy: I'm still loving my job as wife, momma, and writer for Paper Crafts. I've really tried to focus on simplifying wherever possible and enjoying what I have. I joined Pinterest last year and fell in love. My menu planning is now super simple thanks to my recipe board and I've found lots of helpful and economical tips for cleaning, organizing, and teaching. This has become my new mantra:
Cooper: It's hard to believe this time last year, Cooper was sleeping in a crib and barely speaking. Cooper loves to talk and could easily have a career as a professional song writer, cowboy, storyteller, daredevil, choreographer, firefighter, or handy man. His attention span has finally increased, he can count to 15, he knows the ABC song (among others), and he's great at shapes and colors. Cooper is officially potty trained which means we only had about 2 1/2 months of two kids in diapers -- hooray! Don't ask me how we did it. I'm pretty sure we broke every rule in the elusive Big Book of Potty Training Tips. Let's just say potty training in 3 days might work for some, but not for this kid!

Sloan: This little girl has perfectly nestled her way into our family and our hearts. She is such a happy, well behaved baby and mommy's little peacemaker. She has a very calming nature that I adore. It's been interesting to see how she's grown in comparison to Cooper. I'm not sure if it's birth order, gender, or both but these two kids are definitely developmentally different. It's also true what they say, time goes by even faster with the second one.

Together as a family we went to Park City [Utah], Antimony [Utah], Alabama, and Florida. We saw tons of extended family, ate smores, played in the ocean, and slathered tiny toes with baby lotion. We're grateful for our many rich blessings, thank our Lord for all we've been given, and count our friends and family among our greatest treasures.
Cheers to 2012 and bring on 2013...we're ready!
You are seriously the cutest mamma to the cutest little family around.
